PortaPow Fast Charge Cable (8ft Discontinued)

Bought this cable to use with my Tenergy Quick Charge 2.0 charger for my HTC One M8. Charger won't recognize the phone with this cable. It's very discouraging when I have lesser cables that will recognize the chips!

I ordered this cable because the length of my OnePlus one cable was too short; however, I didn't want to remove the awesome fast charging capabilities. The advertised charging abilities was very similar to the OnePlus One cable (using the same brick that came with the device), so the mA readings were similar. I did expect some inefficiency from the length and I averaged around 800-950~ mA on the Battery Monitor Widget app with this cable. When I received this cable I didn't expect 6.5ft to be so big. I love this length and the cable is very thick and doesn't crimp at all. The cable endings are strong and haven't shown any wore in the month or so I've had this cable and used it on a daily basis. I would totally recommend this product for the solid build quality and higher ratings for the flow of electricity through the cable.

Feels very cheap, doesn't always charge properly. Had to buy a replacement because the first one melted and I didn't want to find an envelope to mail it back.

Tested with an inline ammeter with Samsung OEM charger for Note 2. Using this cable was able to pull 1.45A. Best cable I have is a short heavy gauge Motorola cable that is able to pull 1.65A. For the length this is very good.

Great cord length for my needs and noticeably fast charging for my Samsung Galaxy S4.

Seller please contact! I got this charger in February and absolutely loved it however today I realized that it is no longer working and there is no option to Replace.

It does exactly what it says on the tin. I use this cable to charge my personal mobile phone (Galaxy Nexus) during workdays using a USB port on my work-provided laptop. The laptop can charge the phone, but the two devices can't "see" each other or exchange data over USB. A standard USB cable allows the phone to charge at up to 500 mA, but this cable makes my phone think it's connected to an AC adapter and allows the phone to charge at up to 900 mA (limited by the laptop's USB 3.0 port, not the cable).

Bad cable, only works for a couple months, now it charges only 500 amp and read as USB source. Will not buy this product again. Stay away.
