Update (2/10/2021):I'm reducing this down to two stars now because it's failed after about 1.5 years now and that doesn't seem long enough for something that's solar powered especially for the price.I used this in Southern California where we rarely get lots of sun and rarely any rain . Well, it rained heavy a couple of weeks ago and lots of water got into the solar panel; I noticed it wasn't lit one night so I took the panel down and I could hear the water sloshing around.I contacted the seller and they told me that it's past the warranty but they offered to give me a discount on a replacement. I was really happy with this light but I'm not sure I'd want to throw good money after bad.I ended up taking this apart and I think the water entered from the edges of the actual solar panel. There's a rubber gasket but that's the only place I can see water entering the system. My guess is that the heat warped the plastic slightly but enough to create tiny gaps between the gasket and the plastic holding it down.If you already have one of these, it might help to open this up and pump the edges around the panel full of silicone caulking.I have many solar lights similar to this one and I had originally held this brand and style as the gold standard for string lights but I've reconsidered. It's good but probably not much better than nice generic lights and brands.Update (2/11/2020):I've had these for about 5 month now, and they're still going strong.I had questions about why they included spare leds and why it only uses a single 18650 cell (single battery). Well, the spare led is likely because these bulbs are actually fragile. I noticed one of the led filaments was only half lit, it was broken in the middle, which was likely done during transport or installation. As for the single battery, these lights stay on many hours after dark so the single battery is sufficient. In case you're wondering, it is nearly equivalent to 3 rechargeable AA batteries.My final review is 4 stars. Not 5 because i received at least one that was faulty and i returned.Update (9/10/2019):I've increased my rating to three stars for now because of the following:The vendor reached out to me and has been providing excellent support to try remedy things. They have been on top of this and even said they would reach out to the manufacturer about the design issues.I'm still testing my replacement set of lights and I will revise this review as I get more confident in the lights.So far, it's been about a week and these lights have been performing as advertised. Surprisingly, the light actually stays lit (on dim) for many hours after sunset.Why three stars and not one or two? Because the replacement lights have been working as advertised for a week and the vendor has been providing excellent customer support.Original Review (~9/4/2019):(One star)Defective and full of red flags. Do not buy!I'm on my second set, the first one stopped working the third or so day, so I asked for a replacement. If this second one fails too, I will ask for a full refund.Pros...when working:- Multiple brightness levels- very long string (but each is spaced further apart than regular string lights)- turns off during the day and on automatically at night.- runs at night until the battery runs out- supposedly waterproof connector- replaceable leds (probably proprietary and expensive)Cons / problems:- stopped working after third or so day- did not shut off during the day- stopped charging after it stopped working- solar mount was not designed right (huge red flag)- replacable led?!?Details:I really want this light to work so i asked for a replacement instead of a refund.I first installed the lights to test them in my yard, i just strung them on tree branches without any coordination, and they were great!I foolishly took them down after that first day to install them in their final locarion, along a walkway that is pitch black at might, it looked great after it was installed!However, when i went back to check on it a few days later, i noticed that the lights were on during the day...i then tried to turn the unit on and off but that didn't fix the issue. I kept cycling the modes thinking this was some test mode but nothing changed.I came back a couple days later and the lights weren't on during the day but i decided to test it by covering the panel. Nothing! Nothing worked, buttons pressed, panel covered, uncovered, nothing.I finally took down the panel and stuck a voltmeter to the connector and it did not register any voltage.This is when i asked for a replacement.Red flags:1) the mount is completely wrong! One side of the mounting point has teeth and the other is smooth. My work-around was to put a thin rubber washer in between but that was hard because they are so close together. I believe they knew about this issue but decided that if you tighten it enough, it creates some friction so it won't wobble.2) replacement led? Normal leds should last thousands of hours so them including a replacement makes me wonder if they know these lights will burn out. This hasn't been observed by me either way but it is suspicious.3) lights on during the day... it obviously wasn't working right.4) 1*2600 MaH battery? 15 led lights will need much more than this to last any decent amount of time after sunset.Side thought:This Amazon listing was highly rated because they put this new, unrated solar light with their well established plug in lights.

Updating to a four!!!So there is one on/off button.You have no way of knowing if it's on or off until nighttime.During the day, I thought the button needed to be set to ON in order to collect sunlight. It doesn't. If you click mode too many times it will shut it off, which is what I did accidentally.While the clamp broke immediately, when I put it on a thin two inch iron gate, I just set the panel on my cabinet, broken stand and all.But for the price and the look and the number of light modes it's totally worth it. I hot glued the wires and used a staple gun in my stucco to get these bad boys to stay up.Now if a strong wind comes its all tbd at this point.*****Help I love these lights and the option to turn down. But the clp immediately broke when I attached it to a very small and simple rail. I worked around that and set it up standing on its own. Now four days later the lights don't work. Also there is no way to tell whether you hit the On or Off button to charge it during the day. It's one button so I have no idea if it's on during the day to capture sunlight. Apparently it was not since the bulbs do f work. I'll try one more time before I return it, which is pretty hard because all the lights are already strung up.

UPDATE: Seller kindly sent us a replacement set rather quickly. The new set works fine and we appreciate the customer service. I wish the lights were brighter, but they work fine for low levels of light.Previous Review: Very disappointed. We purchased these in September, but just installed them last weekend due to traveling. They are completely defective. Only 2 of the lights work. We boxed them up to return (or exchange for a working set) and our “window closed October 4”. So now we are stuck with a defective set. The return window is ridiculous. I hope the seller will read this and consider a replacement set. If so, I will update this review.

These lights are gorgeous! They compliment my backyard so nicely. I love that they do not need to be plugged in and use the solar power from the sun, but when you live in a state that the weather fluctuates by the second, like Florida, there are many days where the lights will not turn on that night. Not anyone’s fault though, it’s just a solar power thing :) the soft lighting that these give off makes a nice setup for an intimate gathering in the back yard, or a nice romantic porch dinner with the significant other! Great lights! Will def be buying more to add in other areas of my yard.

Love these lights and the bulbs look just like the electric Edison bulbs .Comes with a cool clip for solar panel to easily clip on your gutter or fence I clipped to my gutter .So as you can see my porch is well lighted and that's just with the solar lights on nothing else so I was pleasantly surprised with the brightness for solar lights. I needed solar bc I didn't have an outlet on front porch so these where a great alternative .I've owned now for about 3 months they stay on from dusk til dawn on medium brightness if it has full day of sun charge prior . I purchased only one strand and it wrapped around my complete front porch. I also purchased screw in hooks for $4 and gave it that nice straight installation look .

We put these under our gazebo and loved the multi function light settings. They held up well until we had a super tundra winter. Once we tried to use them again the power panel must have been zapped by extreme temps. Contacted the seller and they offered a replacement or refund. We took the replacement. The replacement was slightly different w less lighting features but still a good product. I would recommend this product and this seller. They were very responsive.
