C150 Review
My first digital camera.....very pleased with the quality of the picutres taken and very easy to use from the start. Definitely value for money. Only problems are that there is no sound with the video clips and it has to be 'tweaked' a little in order to get any sort of decent picture whilst in the video mode.Very poor battery life but enough to last a night out which is good enough for me....rechargeable batteries are a must with this camera.Overall I'm very happy with this purchase!!

beginners dream
i opened the box and found the camera with all it's accesories. I was please to find it came with batteries and as soon as i put them in, i was away taking pictures with ease. only think i hate is that when you take a pic without flash, the pic is really dark, but if you take it again in the same conditions with flash on, the picture is too bright and makes the face look more pale. I think this will be for low key photography and i'll stick to my 35mm for profesional use

Excellent camera
I just got myself one Olympus C 150 camera, few days ago, and I must say that I am completely satisfied with how it works. It is an excellent choice for people who do not intend to spend much money on a camera. It is very easy to use and very user friendly. The only bad thing is the fact that the memory card, going with the camera is only of 16 MB capacity. It provides the maximum of 35 photos to be stored at a resolution 1600 X 1200, which is the only resolution worth shooting. In other words all the buyers of this camera will have to buy an additional memory card of much bigger capacity that the one originally coming with the camera.Everything else about this camera is just perfect.

Olympus C-150 Camedia
This camera is great for beginnersat the digital camera game. It has easy controls and is at a very reasonable price. Although the memory card it comes with is a mere 16MB, you can always purchase a higher memory capacity for not a great amount of money like I did. In my case a new 128MB memory card for 20 odd quid. This is my first digital camera, and its so easy to use my 10 year old brother can work it! Also it has movie mode which you can have 15 secondvideo clips at a time, but unfortunaltley you cannot download these on to your pc, but with the scart lead you can watch them over and over again on your tele. You can also go through your collection of pictures on your tele with the scart cable. But don't forget once you have downloaded the pictures from your camera onto your pc delte them!

Very pleased with my new camera
This is the second digital camera I've bought and it's by far the best one. It's very easy to use the camera. It's easy to install and use the Camedia Master software which allows you to edit and 'enhance' the photographs you've taken on the Camedia camera. I haven't yet purchased any special paper to print out the photos but I've printed them out on cheap, plain paper, just to make sure everything works as it should and the quality of the printed photos is pretty good so I assume the quality of photos printed out on proper high-quality paper would be excellent.Picture definition/resolution is good although I understand a real photography enthusiast would want it to be better. I'm an amateur, the sort who generally dusts off the camera for holidays and special occasions, so my demands on a digital camera are perhaps relatively modest. There may be better cameras if you want to pay the price but this camera produces a quality of photograph that is far higher than any non-digital camera I've ever used - and my last non-digital was a very good Nikon that lasted years and produced marvellous quality photos.I've read previous reviewers' warnings about the camera's voracious appetite for batteries so was ready with a respectable pile of rechargeables. So far though, the batteries have lasted a reasonable length of time so I'm pleasantly surprised not to have my recharger working overtime.

Great introduction to digital photography
Having recieved this camera as a birthday present last year, I felt inclined to write a review expressing just how much it has let me achieve in so short a space of time. I have always been interested in taking up photography, but have never had the money to spend on countless films, a darkroom (or the technical wizardry) to fiddle with the finished pictures, or the expertise to justify taking a film's worth of photos to get the one I wanted.Digital photography was the answer, and this camera couldn't have been a better introduction to it. The unit itself is sleek and very easy to use. It has a great picture resolution, easily enough for an amateur such as myself. I have never felt the image size too small, or the resolution even remotely grainy (a big concern with many sub-£300 digicams). The videos are fun too, though with no sound and fairly tiny size that's all (they can be downloaded onto PC though, regardless of an earlier review... the software doesn't discriminate between photo and video when downloading files from the camera onto PC!). Other fun features include the option to shoot in black and white or in sepia. If you're the impatient pretentious type like me it's nice not to have to wait until the image is on the computer to play around with it like this.If you just want some good party photos, this will make your life really easy. Whilst it is a bit of a monster for batteries (battery life improved immesurably by sparing use of the display screen), getting your pics onto the PC is a simple matter of plugging the supplied cord into a USB socket and opening the camera, and waiting about a minute per 30 images. One area which leaves something to be desired it the lack of a physical zoom. The digital zoom function is great for a casual photographer, but those seeking a more artistic approach to photography may well be frustrated at how blurred images digitally zoomed become. My advice here is just to wait until the photos are on the computer - third party software is far better at "blowing up" images than your little camera is!Speaking of zooming, a nice feature on the camera screen is the facility of zooming in on induvidual areas of your pictures, just so you can see if you've captured small details and stuff like that. It's actually quite fun to take a group photo and then immediately zoom in on your friends looking stupid! An album view is also available, allowing browsing of 9 pictures at a time (which is very convenient if you should install a bigger card - going through 120 induvidual pictures quickly becomes a chore!).I'm very impressed with the extent to which this camera has improved my photography, and so quickly become a part of my life. I really enjoy cataloguing everyday things in new ways, or simply having photos of every little detail of my holidays etc. This camera has allowed me to do this - it has saved many great memories for me, and I think it would be an excellent purchase for anyone who has even a fleeting interest in photography!
