Stunning walks. Good information.
Having never been to Northern Ireland, this book proved essential. I was able to link some walks together, and/or add my own additional sections. Some locals agreed, especially when they saw some that they were unaware of. There were one or two slight niggles. For example, walk 19, Ben Crom and the Silent Valley. Walking from Lough Shannagh, the author describes a faint path on the right which is easier underfoot. There is a well worn side path, but on the left. The main track is horrible! After crossing a bridge and stile, "after 5-10 minutes, turn left onto a faint grassy path. Now, a few years after publication, the paths are more used, but I took the first path, which is not the intended one. It actually saved a descent and reascent before joining the described route, but was not mentioned. Picky, picky - I know! That said, this book provided me with so much information about walks in some incredibly beautiful places that I would never have found, so well done Andrew.

A super book. Gave me confidence to venture further afield.
This is the second book I have purchased written by Andrew McCluggage. Like the other book, it is detail orientated and each walk highlights the start/finish point, the length of the walks and the difficulty grading. This detail has been hugely beneficial to me as I walk alone with my 2 primary school children. My husband is unable to join these family outings. Andrews knowledge of Northern Ireland is impressive. I have quite happily taken this book on our walks and been confident that the knowledge within will not let me down. I recommend this book to anyone thinking about getting out and about a bit more but who doesn't have the confidence to do it "alone" . Well done Andrew. Money well spent and a very happy customer

Good with some updates required
We used this book in our hiking in NI. In general it is great and mostly met our needs. However, there was a couple of cases when the description of the route did not work at all (probably something changed on the ground which was not captured in the book) or the route was not easy to follow at all and there was no good explanation (for instance, the large path was going left and then leading to a dead end while the one we should have followed was barely visible or there was a huge caravan park along the path which was not even mentioned in the book).

Excellent Book by Knowledgeable Author
I bought this book based on the Hiking in the Mournes book that I was given as a gift. Have used this in some recent walks as I wasn't 100% sure if it was possible to get from one point to another up the North Coast but this book is very helpful for that & also lots of other information contained within. I'd recommend this book to anyone looking to take in the Wonderful Northern Irish North Coast.

Very informative
Great book giving accurate details of walks throughout NI. Information on walks in the Mournes was particularly useful. I would definitely recommend.
