Q: How many strands does this wire consist of? Is each strand 100% copper, in other words, also not copper clad?

So 105 strands for 10 gauge is not that great. Since it is the outer surface of a strand that conducts the electrons, there are plenty of “fine wire” cable sets out there. 294 is readily available on AMAZON. I Using these for the interconnects from my Parasound amp to Klipsch Cornwall speakers. I think they will work out fine. The shrink tubing appears like it was never shrunk or heated properly but the rest of the build appears fine. Nylon outer braid should not wear but I still prefer a softer rubber or fabric shell. Connectors were not loose and fit well. I’m sure it is of the cheapest and thinnest gold plating possible but this way exceeds lampcord. Only the audio snob can be hypercritical of theses. Glad I was able to get white. Matches my decor better.
