Part Was Good
Product was good. Amazon played games during the order stage of this product and the days that followed but in the end, their follow through was appropriate.

Leaks
Had to replace this part because the washer wasn't filling. Now I have a constant dripping from the hot and cold sides where the solenoid goes into the main body of the overflow. I added stars do to the fact the company reached out and offered a full refund.

Works better than the original
I damaged the original valve trying to clean the filter. I found a YouTube video that showed how to replace a similar valve - the video was 7 minutes long. I had the washer open and the valve replace in about 15 minutes. Putting the cabinet back in place was another story... But after all was said and done, the new valve works better than the original which did not really have a hot water function. It was lukewarm at best and the warm water was cold. When I had the repairman look at it under warranty, they made an excuse that it was for safety reasons.

Worked for a little over a month( edited)
It was easy to i stall. For the bad. So when it goes to rinse a loud buzzing can be heard. If I turn off the cold water supply and remove the hose. I then start the rinse cycle, re-connect the water supply and turn it on. Water then immediately begin to fill the tank. The company sent me a replacement.i must have just recieved one with a issue. Thank youfor helping me keep momma happy.

It almost fits like the OEM Inlet Valve
I installed this newest valve this afternoon without much difficulty but because it didn't fit precisely I had to shift it around so the all the tabs on the back side of it lined up with the holes in the steel back of the washer. I was a little apprehensive since I had already had two valves found on Amazon leak immediately upon turning on the water, but this one gave me hope that it would deliver flawless performance. This is an aftermarket reproduction inlet valve, but it is very similar to the OEM version, with the possible exception of the connectors on the solenoids. The thermo sensor on top of the mixing chamber is much more sensitive than the OEM and when you select hot water, that's what you get.The new valve is a little slow to fill the tub because the white filters on the inlet of the valves are restrictive to a degree. I'm not sure if that was intentional in the 'upgraded' version or if it is a side effective of manufacturing. I can see these filters being a key reason why the tub does not fill over time due to sediment in our water supply, and the filters may even stop the flow of water entirely over time. I considered drilling a couple of 1/16" holes in each filter, but because the filters are before the actual valve, I was concerned that this might allow plastic bits to get caught in the internal valve and perhaps jam it.Time will tell if the valve performs well. As a final note, I did not realize that Whirlpool had made obsolete not only the part needed to repair our machine, but had also made obsolete this 12 year old plus washing machine as well. Explains why finding an OEM part was very difficult and why there are so many cheap copies of the valve all across the Internet and on Amazon as well. This particular replacement valve does what I expected it to do, if only in a slightly different way. If it performs another 2 to 3 years without incident I won't feel too bad retiring the machine at that time.
