Q: What is the non stick coating made of?

Appears to be cast iron with an aluminum looking coating. I seasoned it with cooking oil and it smelled horrible while heating, and still does each time I use it. The handle is very easy to bend when heating the griddle.

Yes, Excellent product! Put anything you want in the sandwich likw meat and cheese then toast to perfection. No complains whatsoever.
