This nightlight is amazing, my kids adore it. It looks SO cute! I keep it on the bright white, because I like to be able to see my kids during diaper changes at night. But there are tons of color options. There is also an option to dim the white if you prefer a dimmer nightlight. It comes with a USB charger, so it has to be plugged into a computer to be charged. Although, I just plugged it into my iPhone outlet adapter and it seems to charge fine that way.

I love this light except for the color changing mechanism. The light is perfect for a middle of the night baby feeding, and gives a selection of colors including some that are very soft for gentle light. It's cute, and small enough to easily pick up and use as a lantern. We had a tornado come through our town and this was a lifesaver as an after dark lantern. And it's nice that the batteries are rechargeable.BUT. And this is a big but. The color chancing mechanism is a ridiculous design. Every time you turn the light on, you have to tap it until it cycles through to the color you want. I realize that this doesn't sound terrible, but it gets worse. The tapping sensor has only gotten more and more sensitive with use. This means that I can't pick it up or set it down, or even open the drawer on the nightstand it's sitting on without the color changing. Then I have to hit it like 7 or 8 times to get it to cycle through its many colors to get back to the gentle color I want. It's a serious design flaw. I had read other reviews that mentioned this and should have paid attention to them.This product would be SO much better with a little dial or selector on the bottom so that you could be assured that it would stay on the color you want the whole time you're using it. That being said, this has been a great light in all other respects and I am super glad I had it for the first few months of my baby's life when I was up a million times a night feeding her.

I like this, but it really doesn't last very long before you have to charge it. It does last through the night, but only one night, and then it has to be on the charger all day. Recommended because it's a great option for a night light, but you may want to consider just keeping it plugged in all the time. You'll need a wall plug for the included USB cable.

This is so cute! Its smaller than i thought it would be but its perfect for my 1yo. Its bright enough to not trip over the dog in the middle of the night, but not so bright itll keep us awake. And it changes colors!

Maybe we got a dud, but this has been such a hassle. We've had it for a little over a week and it has been malfunctioning since day one. We followed the directions and charged it, but it doesn't stay on and doesn't show certain colors. I got it to make bedtime easier for my 4 year old but because we've had so many issues, it's made bedtime more difficult. I'm disappointed in this product and would not recommend.

Wow! This is such a cool night light! I bought this as a baby shower gift, but I honestly thought about purchasing one for myself as it’s just too cool!This whale night light is very child friendly. It’s soft and squishy to the touch. No small removable parts. The colors of the light are very vibrant and I love how it offers a white and soft white option.This gift was a hit! Everyone was asking where to get one!

It is definitely soft and squishy and something a baby is fascinated with and a toddler loves to play with. There are no hard edges which make it safe to give to baby and the changing soft lights keep their interest. My six month old isn't strong enough or coordinated enough to hit the whale to change the light herself but she still loves watching me change the light for her. Note, you have to hit it firmly on the side or lightly on the bottom to make the light change. Hitting the actual whale from the top won't do anything because it's a squishy air filled space. This is a great gift to give for kids ages 3 months to 4 years.

I bought this night light for my son's nursery. I love that the battery is rechargeable, however, I leave the charger/adapter plugged in all the time. So far no problems. It took me a second to figure out how to get the colors to rotate and change. If you click the button on the bottom just once, the soft light stays on, click it a second time to get to the bright white light. Then you tap the bottom piece with your hand to change to the desired color you want. If you want the colors to rotate you have to tap to the last "red" color. Then the color cycle will start automatically. Sometimes it is sensitive when placed back down and will turn off since the sensor is on the bottom. So just set down gently. It is very soft and I don't see my son damaging it once he is older if he gets his hands on it. I am very pleased with this light. It is not too bright but allows you to see enough around the room. Has a nice glow. I would recommend this product.
