Surprised at how well this cut
I bought this for my niece who is 7. My sister's wary of giving kids knives to work with, and as a result, my niece didn't get to help chop anything for dinner - she'd be given tomatoes and lettuce and get really frustrated when they wouldn't slice properly with her blunt kids knife. So I bought her this. It's an oddly deceiving knife, you'd assume that it wouldn't chop much, and to look at, and even touch, it doesn't seem as if it's going to cut through anything, but it does. It's definitely safe for kids to hold, which was my main priority. It's cute that it's styled like a little dog, and everyone giggled that it had a little tail and everything. It put my sister's mind at rest too which was a bonus. That day my niece chopped carrots, potatoes, broccoli and red pepper, without any difficulty and we all made a Sunday Roast. It cut through everything really well. That was the first time my niece had willingly eaten her veggies without complaint. She is a VERY picky eater and refuses to touch veggies. Now, she says that the carrots don't taste as nice unless she chops them with her special dog knife. Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing yet, but she enjoys being involved with the cooking and meal prep, and she ate a carrot, which she HATED before we bought this knife. That in itself is good enough for me.

Well designed, excellent value, but the edge has no meaningful sharpness
Pros:- Friendly design- Great ergonomics for small hands- Exceptional valueCons:- The cutting edge is simply at 90 degrees, with no degree of sharpening. This makes it very limited in its use. Even a small apex would help to turn this from a bit of metal to a knife.Quality: 4/5Value: 4/5Function: 3/5Form: 4/5Would I buy it again? Yes

Great for kids and very safe!
Bought this for our 5 year old daughter who wanted to help in the kitchen. The description said it was very child safe, I did check myself if it was possible to cut yourself with it...happy to say it passed the test and matched the claims. My daughter has found it easy to grip and use safely, definitely recommend

Great!
Good ergonomics, safe enough in terms of sharpness but, it is difficult to cut harder fruits like apples. Great for getting the kids involved without the risk of cutting themselves with the ordinary knives. The colours attract the kids attention and they want to use the item because they are bright and vibrant. I'm very happy with the purchase and, hopefully, they will be long lasting!

They actually cut but safe to use
My biggest frustration is children scissors or knives that don’t work. It’s very frustrating for the child. These are great. They work for most veggies like peppers and mushrooms , courgettes ,green beans. My grandchildren age 2 and 5 often help me make soup by chopping the veg and this encourages them to eat different things
