I got mine a few months ago. It was super easy to assemble. The screw holes were perfect - no issues. In terms of size, I got it for my bed for my dogs to use. It's 100% true to the dimensions provided. My kids & dogs have never had a problem using it.

I don't recall reading that info but I wouldn't advise going over 240 - 250 lbs.
