ZILI USB C Hub, Aluminum USB-C Hub Adapter Dongle for MacBook Pro 13" and 15" 2016/2017, Gray

I bought this hub to compliment my new space grey macbook Pro. When it arrived I noticed that when inserted the hub left a gap as it didnt sit flush against the chassis of the Macbook. This got me thinking about whether or not I could then attach a cover to the Macbook as I'd seen reviews on other hubs suggesting you couldnt use a case with them. I've linked to the case I bought below and it fits very snugly against that. I have used a couple of adaptors for my macbok air and this one has been great. It lines up correctly into the two usb-c ports on the Mac box air and allows fr the charger to be connected with multiple other items such as a usb lead to charge a phone, connect to a portable hard drive or even connect a hdmi cable for connection to a monitor. data transfer seems standard and product doesn't seem to overheat like some other products. It's a good option for people who want to use their Mac book as a docking statin for separate monitor and keyboard

I bought this as part of the recommended bundles Amazon suggests, consisting of a fabric case and hard-shell sleeve. The adapter fits on fine but needs forcing in to make sure it works, and even then a slight shift can knock it out.However if you put the hard sleeve on, the adapter doesn't work at all unless you rotate it 180° and make it stick out the back end.

The USB-C connection has fallen off! Had it less than a year. See picture. Don't buy.

The product looks and feels high quality with the brushed aluminium it has similar properties to the Mac. The metalic grey on the hub matches the mac and during the time I have owned the product I havent had any paint chip or damage to the metal.The cost of £30 was significant however for this particular device its worth the price. The ports on the hub still work and have not degraded over time. The fit of the device is sturdy and doesn't move around once connected also it fits flush with the Mac so no issues with the computer wobbling.The compact size and shape of the product is perfect for carrying in an accessory bag or purse along with the laptop. Overall great product with quality materials and a great selection of ports perfect for accommodating the lack of ports on the new macs.

I was hoping this was going to be a great cheaper alternative to Apples USB-C hub. In reality it is really fragile when you plug it in. You have to be really careful if you have a hard drive plugged into it and then go to plug the power lead in to recharge the battery as the slightest knock can disconnect your hard drive.It also doesn't sit flush with the MacBook, there is a big gap inbetween when you plug it in.

This dongle works great with a Macbook Pro expanding all ports and includes a card reader. Apple used to be great in designing IT products but forgot that a laptop needs to be practical as well. Fortunately this little device will provide all the connections you need and still keeps the sleek aluminium look of the Macbook. All without the Apple premium price!

Had it a number of months for work and no issues. Really nicely made. One tip, if you buy the plastic laptop cases / surround, it will not fit tightly. This is not a fault of the product as it fit solidly but merely a tip

Sinceramente no hace falta gastarse 90 o 150€ en este tipo de accesorios, cumple completamente con su función, desde que lo compré no me ha fallado y funciona todas las clavijas.Es el más completo que encontré con HDMI, la mayoria de productos SIN HDMI costaban lo mismo. El color es perfecto porque parece una extensión de mi Mac, no pesa absolutamente nada y está muy bien presentado.Con respecto al vendedor, muy rápido.
