I'm confident in its power to protect.Oh, yes,; its also very cheap. I'll probably get another "for best" as this gets the inevitable paint and garden stains.

Arrived in 3 days. My requirement is for a hat which will protect me from the sun whilst being reasonably stylish. This hat is does all that in my opinion. I got my face badly burned on a day out recently; this hat would have kept me safe. Don't forget you still need a good pair of sunglasses.

Not the most attractive design, but it does the job well. Brim wide enough to keep sun off your whole face and neck, and good for keeping the rain out of your eyes in bad weather. I took this on a two-week trek in the Hebrides recently, and I especially appreciated the chin strap during windy, rainy weather.

Just tried this out and its great for a fishing sun shade. Stops me having to use my brolly to protect my face.
