There's a lack of suction or anything else to keep the drain in place so it slips around. The top also is very shallow. The combination of this in the shower so far means it often slips to the side and stops the drains, causing water to pool up (and suction from it covering the drain to hold it in place, or it would just float up). Or alternatively, even if it is on right, the top sinks slightly under the water pressure and then is sucked down and becomes a stopper.As I mentioned above, it also tends to float so if the water pools up. In my bathroom sink the drain is too small and there's enough of a curve to prevent the drain from stopping up the drain. However, with the water going full on the water pool up slightly, the drain floats up, and any hair is just as likely to slip under it as to get stuck on it.This just doesn't work for me. I'm not sure how it possibly works for all the other 5 star reviewers.

Great drain protectors. Fits perfectly over my shower drain. Doesn't hurt my feet when I step on it. Stays in place. I hav e thick strong hair that doesn't break but stretches and creates havoc in the plumbing. Works great.

Completely overrated. It gets pushed aside and hair gies down the drain anyway. Although the various colors match my 3 bathrooms :-/, perhaps making the item a little heavier would make it more effective. Not sure why it's not working as well for me.

My kids and husband complains that this restricted the flow of the water going down the drain but I don’t care, it stops the hair from going down the drain!

Catches hair nicely, but causes water to puddle due to its rise which is to be expected. Gets nasty under it so it needs to be rinsed off often.

These will only work if your drain is in the middle of your tub and is a flat shower drain. If you have a tub stopper, these won't work. If your drain is at the end of your tub, below the nozzle, it's not going to work. I can unfortunately, only use these in my kitchen sinks. What a bummer.

These are good looking & work if you can keep them over the drain.

Does not catch hair and it’s messy
