Excellent
Needed to replace my parents extractor fan.I purchased the silver + timer + LED option. I have to say I’m very impressed with extractor fan. Easy to install and unit itself is quiet compared to the old unit. Looks great as well with the LED lights on as well.Parents are very happy with the new unit and I’m thinking I might just upgrade my two units as the Sterr Silver + LED option does work well and looks rather good!!!

Looks beautiful but not exactly quiet
Nice little fan, not that powerful but I knew that from the specs, would have been nice if the stainless was lacquered to prevent finger marks putting it up, and the cable, for me at least was a bit short, other than that, it’s ok, does a reasonable job.If you have lots of people using a family bathroom, the only real solution to a steamy bathroom, is a 6 inch loft mounted fan, these little units just can’t cope with lots of steam from a hot shower, they are more for “ventilation” than stopping everything from steaming up.Would I buy another one, yes, but it would be a close call.

Noisy, little air movement, looks nice
Bathroom fans should do three things: 1) move large volumes of air, 2) not make a horrible racket, and 3) look unobtrusive and not too ugly. This fan moves virtually no air, is medium loud, and looks quite nice with its brushed metal outer finish. (though the posts that hold the plate are a bit cheap looking, and of course the main body of the fan is just spraypainted metallic silver)When I initially installed it, it was quite loud and moved zero air. So I took the damn thing apart and found that the internal thin transparent semicircular flaps, which serve as a simple backdraught preventer, were being blocked by the flexible hose that the fan was attached to. Luckily I happened to have a length of PVC duct with a joiner piece lying around, so I attached the duct pipe to the hose. That solved that problem. The fan now moves a tiny bit of air and is less noisy. And it still looks simpler and more elegant than many other fans out there that look ghastly - the sort of white plastic rubbish you saw back in the 1980s. Fortunately this is a toilet fan, and not a bath or shower, so its main value is masking toilet noise, so I'm going to leave it. Can't be bothered to remove and return it.But there's no way I would use this thing where clearing humidity is vital. With the cover in place it fails the tissue paper test. I would use one of the Silent Design 100 fans I used in the upstairs bathroom. A bit uglier, but it actually moves air and is very quiet. The only drawback is that the Silent Design frames are physically larger, and so won't fit in tight locations - like the downstairs loo where I put this one.

Recieved a SECOND HAND Item when I bought NEW
Good item but I was sent a second hand item when i paid for a new item. It came full of dust from concrete, scratches and finger marks all over it.. gives a very bad impression of a seller for a first time buyer.

Stopped lighting up
Lights no longer work after 15 months fitted ?Thought it would be better than that !!!!

It seems to do the job and looks good!
Bought this as a replacement for a much more expensive fan that only lasted 2 years!Previous one, same make and model had lasted 15 years! It looks good and is relatively quiet. Prompt delivery and easy to fit.

Good looking extractor fan
Great extractor for cloakroom. Attractively made and light makes it more interesting. PIR functionality not very clear in installation instructions and difficult to easily adjust time fan stays on after movement ceases, otherwise would have given 5 stars.
