Doesn't last and doesn't work. (Four sensors - none good)
Great idea. Very motivational when it works.. That's the good news. The bad news. They aren't reliable and you may not be able to tell when they are spewing worthless/misleading readings.I bought this to track my progress at lowering blood glucose and learning about what spikes look like for me and wht causes them. I have a backup meter that I use that requires the finger-prick blood sample and I wanted a more continuous view.I had four of these devices.First one. Worked well for ten days. I periodically verified the reading with the hand-held meter and they agreed within normal parameters. But again, died on day 10.Second one. This came in a two-pack so I attempted to apply the second one. This one had a mechanical defect and would not apply.I wrote to Amazon and a replacement box was send about a week later.Third one. Worked well for 7 days and then just stopped. During that time the readings seemed to match my hand-held meter.Fourth one. I applied it and the readings were wrong from the beginning. I kept verifying, hoping that it would wake up but gave up 2 days later when it started giving such ridiculously low numbers that I contacted Stelo customer service. What a waste of time. I spent over 40 minutes giving details, after which they had me fill out forms to complain with the same data that I already gave them. Then I was informed that there would be a review process that would take days to determine if I was even eligible for replacements.I have an Android phone so I don't know how many other options I have but this is clearly not a solution.I highly recommend that you go someplace else until you stop seeing reviews like this!

It worked for me
This thing was actually very accurate for me, it did get a little annoying around day 11 or 12 so I pulled it off, its setup for a 15 day run at max, but what I did was monitor the CGM for spikes after I would eat something or workout just to see what it did, then I would verify with my finger prick reli-on blood glucose machine and they would align with each other on the spikes and then again on settling back down, I'm not saying the numbers of the results between the 2 machines were aligned, but both would show numbers to reflect a spike and then also to reflect the calming back down later after the spike had run its course, that's good enough for me to dial in my diet more and more to minimize foods that affect my personal glycemic index, it comes with 2 sensors so you can have a whole month of data per order, I still have the second one, probably going to put it on come winter time and run a little self experiment on some of the so called comfort foods that people tend to ingest more in the winter months and see what results I get from it

Make sure you know
This is not something I would normally order. I don't like the idea of wearing something that screams I have diabetes. It is the vanity in me. However, my numbers were very off on my last doctor visit. So, I wanted to try something different. I was looking for something that did not require a prescription. There are not very many devices on the market. Of the two that Amazon offers, one (Lingo at a cheaper price point) can only be used with an iPhone. I have an Android. The delivery time takes a little longer than I wanted (5 days), but I purchased it anyway. It came with two 15 day sensors. The first sensor was very easy to put on and sync to my phone. The second sensor, however, experienced a problem 30 minutes after I put it on and eventually expired. So for the price point of $99, I am not very satisfied since this was supposed to be a 30 day supply. Some people have commented on the difference between CGM and BGM. I took the time to read up on this, and it is normal. One of the main reasons the two may differ is BGM measures glucose in blood, while CGM glucose in interstitial fluid (a fluid just below the surface of the skin). I also found out that this device is part of the Dexcom family, which is the maker of Dexcom G7 which requires a prescription. It can be paired with the Dexcom Clarity App for a little more detailed reports. There is a 20% chance that the device might not last the full 15 day time period, which again is disappointing for the price point. Customer service was quick to reply to my request for support, and they are sending a replacement. The ability to see how food have affected my sugar levels, to see where my numbers might be when I feel a certain way, without pricking my finger is great. Even though the detection range is 70 - 250, it gives a general idea that I use to determine if I need to prick my finger for a more accurate number. With this monitor you will need to use both, but not the BGM as much. I would still purchase again, because you can you FSA or HSA. I would prefer for the 20% fail rate not to be a thing, and if it weren't for that and the price I would give it a higher rating. I would recommend if you understand what you are getting.
